Dr. Dungca is the new GCOE Dean

Dr. Jonathan River Dungca, associate professor at the Department of Civil Engineering and the present vice-dean of the Gokongwei College of Engineering (GCOE) was appointed as the new dean of the GCOE effective July 16, 2015.

Dr. Dungca graduated D. Eng. (Geotechnical Engineering) at Tokyo Institute of Technology under the JSPS Environmental Engineering Program in 2006. He obtained his MSCE (Geotechnical Enginnering) degree from De La Salle University and BSCE from Bulacan State Univeristy.

Dr. Dungca was chosen by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) as one of the 50 Men and Women of Science in 2008. He was recognized by DLSU as an outstanding student organization adviser (2008, 2009), Winner of the Students Search for Outstanding Teacher (SSOT) in 2009 and 2011,  Outstanding Lasallian Mission Partner of the Center for Social Concerns and Action in 2014 and Gawad Br. Cecilio Hojilla FSC Outstanding Lasallian Mission Partner for Gawad Lasalyano in 2012.
