Valdez started being an active member of JPICE-LNM in 2010 when she headed the Specialization Congress which is a joint project of Civil Engineering Society (CES) and JPICE-LNM. After a few months of being a representative of DLSU, she ran for JPICE-LNM 2012 Election where she was elected as the Vice President for Internal Affairs. As a VP-Internal, she worked with students from different schools and participated in the organization’s activities like teambuilding, bridge building competition and student quiz show.

The last Lasallian president of JPICE-LNM was Dan Aquino.     The PICE-LNM Student Chapter is an organization for civil engineering students from the 14 schools in Metro Manila. It is the biggest student chapter of JPICE in the country. Third year to fifth year students are encouraged to join the organization so they can interact with their future fellow civil engineers. JPICE-LNM conducts various activities for its members which include teambuilding, bridge building competition, quiz show and sports fest, among others. DLSU’s Civil Engineering Society (CES) and JPICE-LNM has a dynamic affiliation through Specialization Congress which CES hosts annually.
