Last July 25-27, 2019, TRE students presented their papers in the 26th Annual Conference of the Transportation Science Society of the Philippines in University of San Jose-Recoletos, Cebu City.
The papers presented were:
Initial Analysis of the Black Nazarene Procession by Diamante et al
Analysis and Characterization of Domestic Air Travel Delay of Low-Cost Airlines at NAIA Terminal 4 for the Year 2015 by Chavez et al
According to Alerik Ruiz "The Workshop for Young Researchers on July 25 was great in showing us how we can make our current and future research better. In addition, the speakers involve gave us insights on what career paths and challenges Transport Engineering students would take and face, respectively. Our group won the "Best Presentation Award" on July 26, after presenting our research paper. We where able to visit the Cebu Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX) project and conversed with those in charge of it."

CTM Division presented researches in the Fifth International Conference on Sustainable Construction Materials and Technologies (SCMT5)
Last July 14-17, 2019, CTM Division presented their researches in the Fifth International Conference on Sustainable Construction Materials and Technologies (SCMT5) in Kingston University, Penrhyn Road campus, South West London, United Kingdom.
The participants were:
Engr. Cheryl Roxas, Engr. Iona Rubinos, Engr. Sherie Tan, Engr. Teus Escleto, Ms. Erica Bolivar
They presented their papers:
Roxas- Corrosion Performance of Seawater Concrete with Fly Ash under Impressed Current; Rubinos et al - Reinforced Alkali-activated Concrete with Induced Corrosion
According to the student group their experience was "Very nerve-wracking because it was our first time to present internationally. Honoured to have presented because we were the only undergraduates to present in the conference."

DLSU CIV-CTM presented in the 2019 International Conference on Resource Sustainability - Cities
Last July 1-3, 2019, DLSU CIV's Donovan Catindoy, David Co, Denise Yang, Martin Quiogue and Angelo Yu presented in the 2019 International Conference on Resource Sustainability - Cities (icRS Cities 2019) at the University of Adelaide, Adelaide, Australia. They presented the papers:
Catindoy - Utilization of Recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) Strips as an Alternative Confinement Material in Retrofitting Concrete Columns
Yang et al., - Quantifying Greenhouse Gas Emissions Through Life Cycle Assessment of Concrete Road Pavements in Metro Manila
The International Conference on Resource Sustainability (icRS) serves as a platform for researchers and practitioners around the world with diverse background and expertise to share the most recent ideas, outcomes, and practices on resource sustainability.
According to Mr. Catindoy "The feeling of presenting in front of international professors and students was extremely terrifying, but the input brought by their questions and comments will surely improve our research."
