TRE-CIV and ECE Faculty and Students at EASTS 2015

Last September 10-14, 2015, the 11th Eastern Asia Society for Transportation Studies (EASTS) Conference took place in Cebu City, Cebu Province, Philippines. This year’s theme focuses on “Resilient and Inclusive Transportation System Through Smarter Mobility”.  A total of 585 faculty, students, and people from the government and private sector coming from 18 countries joined the conference.

There were a total of 6 presenters and a single poster presenter from the Transportation Engineering Division, Civil Engineering Dept., De La Salle University- Manila. There were also 3 presenters from the Electronics Communication Engineering as well.  The following faculty and students from the Transportation Engineering Division, Civil Engineering Department, presented and their topics are as follows:

EASTS is an organization that was formed last 1994. This year’s conference is the 11^th conference since the founding year. It is a bi-annual conference, which gathers Civil Engineers specializing in Transportation Engineering and other related professions around Asia and other parts of the world. It is a gathering of people who shares their research, findings and studies. It is where different Asian engineers, planners interact with each other. Studies focusing on the Planning, Analyzing, Studying the behavior and etc. were the other sub topics in the conference. The next conference will be held in 2017 in Vietnam.
