Dr. Danilo C. Terante - A Tribute

Dr. Danilo C. Terante, Associate Professor and Head of the Hydraulics and Water  Resources Division of Civil Engineering Department passed away on August 16, 2015 early morning. May he rest in peace.
Dr. Dani has served DLSU as a faculty member of Engineering Sciences and Civil Engineering. He was one of the first instructors in CE Department.
"It is not how much you do, but how much love you put in the doing."


Dr. Terante is the Department's most active member of the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineering (PICE). He served PICE for several years as a director, PICE student affairs coordinator and resource speaker in CPE seminars and conventions. "When you are a civil engineer, there are a lot of OMG & WTF moments, but it's the LOL and :-) moments that makes it worthwhile."
Sir Dani as the students call him handled courses in Mathematics, Mechanics, Research Methods, Fluid Mechanics, Hydrology, Hydraulics and HWR specialized courses. "A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and isntill a love of learning." - Brad Henry

Dr. Terante as a service awardee (30 years). "“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” ― Mahatma Gandhi
In the span of more than 30 years, Dr. Terante has attended the University graduation to witness his students on stage getting their diploma."Hindi lahat ng pogi nag-aartista, yung iba nag-sisibil engineer!"
